The work
Outside, the tiling has to deal with water, heat and movement. Falls have to run away from the building, drainage has to be detailed at the threshold, and movement joints have to be placed where the slab will actually move.
Slip resistance matters here more than anywhere else in the house, particularly around pools and on steps.
